Much props to our old friend and Alta season passholder, Rich, for the guiding services. We did get about 5 turns on untouched powder, even in these conditions.

We stayed in Salt Lake, about 1/2 mile from the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, about 15 miles from Snowbird and Alta. Why do we not live here???

Karrie and Russ headed out to Utah for 8 days to slay the POW. Not unlike our previous trips out west...there was no pow to slay. The middle of February found local Utah skier saying, "I don't remember this ever happening...it's crazy." It's crazy, unless you know Karrie and Russ are coming to town - we have a knack for finding poor conditions, a lack of snow, rain in February...really anything that puts a damper on a ski trip. We didn't let it slow us down.
